My Lover's Name is Music

she's held my heart so long

Heaven Stands

I had a really emotionally bad day yesterday. I don’t want to get into all the pitiful details, but to summarize, I went in for my first dress fitting for my bridal gown and it didn’t go as planned. I just didn’t look the way I wanted. Not even close. This all happened in the morning and still at 5:00 I was in depression so my wonderful fiance took me out for a fancy dinner at Steak n’ Shake. We get in the car and this song by JJ Heller was on the radio station KLove. It really put things into perspective for me. So read these lyrics and listen on. Hopefully it will strike a chord with you too. I’m sure you have bigger problems than a bridal gown not fitting right.

JJ Heller \”Your Hands\”

I have unanswered prayers
I have trouble I wish wasn’t there
And I have asked a thousand ways
That You would take my pain away
That You would take my pain away

I am trying to understand
How to walk this weary land
Make straight the paths that crookedly lie
Oh Lord, before these feet of mine
Oh Lord, before these feet of mine

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave Your hands

When You walked upon the Earth
You healed the broken, lost, and hurt
I know You hate to see me cry
One day You will set all things right
Yea, one day You will set all things right

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave Your hands

Your hands
Your hands that shape the world
Are holding me, they hold me still
Your hands that shape the world
Are holding me, they hold me still

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave You when…

When my world is shaking
Heaven stands
When my heart is breaking
I never leave…
I never leave Your hands
